Happy 4th of July!
We had a great 4th of July. We started out at the parade in Canyon. The kids love to go to see how much candy they can collect. It's better than Halloween because you don't have to walk anywhere, you just stand there and get candy. Jack enjoyed his sucker and smarties while Daxtyn, Dayton and Timothy (Jennifer's soon to be step-son) collected tons of different candies.
Jack's favorite part was the old John Deere tractors that were in the parade. When they all passed by he said, "More tractors." After the parade we went to the fair on the square and checked out all the crafts and goodies Canyon had to offer.
Dayton decided to show his patriotism by wearing the sticker one of the servicemen gave him in the parade.
Dacie decided to show her patriotism by wearing the blue sucker in her hair to complement her red and white dress.
They both went a little crazy and got their hair painted to look like the flag.
After the parade and fair on the square we headed back to Dixie's to rest up for the fireworks. Dacie took time to catch up on all the Hollywood happenings in the People magazine.
Jack helped feed the tadpoles that were growing in Dixie's backyard. We were hoping to see more frogs before we left, but only one had turned into a frog. Jack loved feeding the tadpoles all week and Dixie tried to send one home with me. Oops, we forgot to get it... Dixie and her family left for vacation this morning so now I'm at Jennifer's, or as Jack calls her, Wenja. We had a great time with Dixie and her family and we're looking forward to having fun with Jennifer's family now.
