Last night we surprised Kelly with a pre-birthday present for Abbott. Wannie and Poppa flew in Wednesday night and we were all waiting at Ryan's parents' house and waited until Kelly got off work on Thursday. It sure was a long day waiting, knowing she was going to be so excited. Everyone helped us plan. Ryan arranged for Kelly to have Friday afternoon and Monday off work, Janet (Ryan's mom) let us do the surprise at her house and fixed a wonderful hamburger dinner. Abbott stays at Janet's house on Thursdays so she had to come pick him up there anyway. So when she got off work, Janet watched out the window and let us all know when she was coming. We all hid in the living room and let her just walk in. She saw mom and dad first and was shocked but not all that surprised but when she came in the living room and saw Wannie and Poppa she let out a little squeal and did a happy dance. I've got it all on video but will have to wait til I get back to Knoxville to get it up here. It was so fun and great that we pulled it off. It was so hard to keep it from her for so long. Wannie and Poppa even sent Abbott a birthday card and said they were sorry they couldn't be here. It worked out so nice! We are looking forward to a great weekend and a fun 1st birthday for Abbott. Just pray the rain goes away!

Here are all the men probably talking about the best way to cook all the meats we're going to have on Saturday. If I remember correctly there are 2 briskets, 4 pork shoulders, ham and bratwursts. Of course there will be about 50 people there so that should be enough.
