We got into Nashville Saturday morning with just enough time to drop off Kelly & Abbott and get to the airport. They regrouped at home and gathered up stuff to stay at Tim & Janet's and we got Jennifer and met for lunch at the Frothy Monkey (where Ryan works). After lunch we went down to "Chateau Pruitt" and spent the afternoon and evening just relaxing and visiting. We took a brief tour of Franklin, Kelly's school and house on Sunday and then headed toward Knoxville. We made it about halfway with Jack asleep but when he woke up he was ready for a break. We found
Burgess Falls Park and took about a mile hike to see some waterfalls. It wasn't too hot or too strenuous so it was a nice break. We got to Knoxville about 7 and really enjoyed being out of the car!! Today we're touring downtown Knoxville and spending the afternoon at my parents' house. Tomorrow it's off to the
Biltmore!
Jack & Jennifer reading a bedtime story.
We picked up a few ice cream refreshments before we got to Kelly's. Jack's tasting his first ice cream sandwich. YUM!
Abbott, Jennifer & Jack. This was the first time Jennifer met Abbott, I think they are good friends now.
Abbott enjoyed his ice cream sandwich, too.
Taking a look down the hiking trail.
This is the middle falls. We didn't make it to the big one, but these were pretty.
Jack & Jennifer admiring the falls.
You'd never know what a toot he can be by looking at this face.
It's so great to see one of my best friends in the whole world! We're going to have such a great time!

The cute picture of Jack eating his ice cream sandwhich convinced me that I needed to go get a skinny cow ice cream sandwhich out of my freezer and eat it at 11:55 am. Yummy! Thanks Jack!!!
