Cow Art Blog: Happy Birthday, Jack

Ok, so we're really having a birthday weekend. Friday night we got to Athens and Jack had 2 presents waiting for him. He got a Handy Manny doll from Shirley and a water bottle with his name on it from Mike & Kathy. They were leaving town on Saturday so we had a mini party Friday night. Saturday, we had Aunt Sue, Uncle Spencer & Aunt Eddie, Uncle Jr, Moma Jo, Popo, Aunt Lissa, Wannie, and Poppa help celebrate and boy did he get some gifts. He got a Tag Jr reading system with some books, a sleeping bag, lunch box, hat, Tinkertoys, a movie, an Astros shirt, 6 puzzles, underwear, Lightning McQueen silverwear, a book to help him write his letters, a fridge word game and his own camera. I may have left something out, he got so much stuff. He was so excited when he woke up from his nap because it was "party time!" We told him we needed to wait for Aunt Sue to get there (she was supposed to be there at 3). We kept him occupied and as soon as she walked in the door, he ran to her, made sure it was her and then ran to the table and tore the tissue paper out of a bag. He pulled out the present and said, "It's a puzzle!" He loved everything and would give hugs to everyone. Later he would say, "I love this big surprise!" It was very cute. He walks around telling people he is going to be "Sree" on his birthday. We had a great day!

He was worn out from the long day in the car, so he lounged on the couch Saturday morning with Wannie.

And he snuggled with Aunt Lissa while he watched the Three Little Pigs.

When we asked what kind of cake he wanted, he said he wanted sprinkle cupcakes. He said this every time we asked so that's what he got. Aunt Lissa made them and they were delicious.
