December- so far

Here are a few pictures from our December so far. We've had a busy month! We're looking forward to Christmas and much needed trip to Athens. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas, too!

Jacey Rose is ready for Santa.

Jack is sad he couldn't open presents on the day we put up the tree.

We visited the newly re-opened Opryland Hotel. They were closed for 6 months after the flood in May.

Jacey is enjoying the hotel.

I think the train was Grandma's favorite part. :)

The lights were so pretty. It was nice to see them back in business.

The nativity outside the hotel.

Jack got a new t-ball set. He was happy to get outside for a little while and try it out.

We helped Mamaw celebrate her birthday.

Trying to capture the Christmas card photo.

Jacey had fun opening her present.

Jack & Mamaw sharing some chex mix.

Helping Grandma play hand & foot.

We finally got a good snow & Jack had so much fun playing outside. It was a little cold at 19 degrees!

Excited that I wrote his name in the snow.

Making snow angels.

The snow was a little sticky.

It was also yummy.

Warming up with some hot chocolate.

We finally got Jacey's baby bed put up and they love to play in it together.

We had an ice storm come through and it covered all the bushes. It was cold, but really pretty!

We celebrated Christmas with Kelly, Ryan and Abbott. Jacey loves her Popo.

These boys are so cute!

Excited to open presents!

Cutest present!

Lots of excitement!

We celebrated Christmas with Bailey. Now we just have a few more gifts to open! Merry Christmas!

Weekend in the Smokies

We got back from Chicago on Monday and on Saturday we headed up to the Smoky Mountains. We don't waste any time. Kelly, Ryan and Abbott came over for Ryan's birthday so we got a "cabin" condo by the river and had a fun weekend together. We went to Dollywood, did a little shopping, a little eating and a lot of relaxing. It was a great weekend. The fall leaves are almost at their peak and they were beautiful. I am ready for the cool weather!

Dad & his girls.

Jacey had a blast at Dollywood.

Jacey fell asleep before the train ride so Jarred stayed behind so we wouldn't disturb her getting her on the train.

Jack was very excited about the train ride.

Klondike Katie, a real coal engine.

Two cute birds and some owls.

The beauty of the wooden roller coaster at sunset.

Kelly & Abbott in the "race cars", as Jack called them. It's a 50's themed ride and the cars go "fast" enough that even Abbott can drive. The boys loved this ride!

And so did Moma Jo!

Sunrise in the Smokies.

Just a hint of fall color.

Jack with the big turtle outside the condo.

Super cute boys.
Jacey was asleep. :(

picking up sticks for our firepit.

Ryan on the balcony.

Kelly & the boys scaling a huge rock.

Jacey's exploring the grass.

Sweet girl! :)

Best I could get.

Celebrating Halloween with an insanely sweet frosted pumpkin cookie.

Hmmmm, you think I'll be bouncing off the walls later? YEP!
Bring on chilly weather, chili and the Holidays!
