August & September

I will try to update at least once a month from here on out. August & September were low picture months. I didn't take very many. I need to change that. :)

We were invited to a friend's farm to let Jack ride in the big tractor. It turned out to be during a weekend when Abbott was with us, too so he got to ride along. Mr. Mike drove them all around the farm in the tractor and they loved it. We were right up next to a bunch of cows, too!

Jacey helped Jarred drive along behind the tractor.

They have a beautiful place!

The biggest thing, by far, in August is Jack starting KINDERGARTEN!! He was so excited and he LOVES it. So far, he is doing great!

Walking to his class.

The first day they split into different groups to be tested to see what they knew. This ended up not being his classroom or teacher but it's where he was on the first day.

Busted nose & lip. :(

She's so big in her rocking chair.

One last swim in the pool. Abbott is just a little silly.

Jack, of course, is NOT silly.

The easiest way to eat a snack.

He's showing me his messy face.

Jack is playing soccer this fall with one of his best friends, Bradyn. Bradyn is quite the soccer star where Jack is just happy to run around and kick it every once in awhile. He gets so excited when anyone scores a goal, even if it's not him.

He's had a few good plays and has ALMOST scored once.

Jack & Bradyn hustling for the ball.

So intense!!

Miss Jacey with her juice box.

It's just best if you get out ALL the toys when your friends come over.

Getting his first drum lesson from cousin Billy. He is also excited about this! :)

I promise to take more pictures and try to update more often!

May, June & July

I am going to try to update the blog at least once a month for my family & friends without facebook. Facebook really is an evil thing, but it is good for quickly uploading and sharing pictures. Especially when I can do it right from my phone. So, here's a quick update about May, June & July and then I'll do the rest.

We started off May with a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC with some friends. Jack loved the sand and water until we went on a walk and found hermit crabs. He was then terrified that the hermit crabs would get him in the water. I don't think he really paid attention to how small they were. Oh well, he still seemed to have a good time.

Jacey Rose loved the sand. She didn't get in the water too much but she had fun on her first trip to the beach.

She's definitely a cute beach babe. :)

The water was a little chilly and we had a few windy overcast days. We still managed to have a great time!

On our last day, we ventured out alone and found a wetlands preserve. Jack & Jarred are looking at millions of tiny crabs.

We celebrated Jack graduating from preschool!!

And we made a Memorial Day trip to Athens, TX.

In June we met Jarred's family in Chattanooga for a few days. We crammed as much of that city in 2 days as we could. I think we did a good job.

Jarred's mom, Mamaw & Jack seeing 7 states from Rock City.

The waterfall at Lover's Leap in Rock City.

Trying on new hats while waiting for the tour at Ruby Falls.

Jack is holding up the Sunsphere at World's Fair Park here in Knoxville. He's very strong.

It's not summer unless you ruin Popso's grass with a slip n slide!

Abbott finally got the hang of the slip n slide and he loved it.

Jacey just liked the water. :)

In July we celebrated Jack-a-Roni's big 5th birthday! We had a small party at home a few days before his actual birthday because we were heading to a cabin in Townsend for the week of his birthday. This boy got 3 different parties!

Jack's become quite the Beatles fan.

He got a new John Deere bike for his birthday and the cabin had a huge deck that was perfect for bike riding.

Abbott brought his bike to ride, too.

We had a couple of good rain storms and Jack & Abbott had fun catching rain drops.

The guys are die hard grillers.

Aunt Kelly has made every one of Jack's cakes. He LOVED his Lightning McQueen cake!

He let Abbott help him open his gifts.

Giving Wannie some hugs. These pictures always make me happy.

Giving Poppa some hugs.

Party #3 was with his friends. We built your own cupcakes and played at a park.

Watch out high school! These are some good looking boys!

We had to eat up the leftover birthday ice cream. Jacey seems to like it. :)

Ice Cream & Sprinkle face.

Not the most flattering picture of me, but I was amused that Jack & I made the same face and couldn't see each other.

So cool.

So big. :)
